Earth Day with BJORK > video for Mutual Core

Its Earth Day everyone!  But really, everyday is Earth day.  Even after we finally destroy this planet to the point that humans will evolve to eat plastic,  nature will win and take back everything.  So in honor of that watch this Bjork video about the tectonic plates of her chest... whatever.  Its  Bjork you know.  She's amazing no matter.  Who else makes videos this artistic all the time.  No one.

JUSTICE

One thing I really enjoy watching is trippy music videos.  Nothing compliments a song better than a really great visual video.  Of course now that we are living in the era where those things aren't played on MTv they way they used to be when I grew up, we hardly are aware of them as much.  Remember all those dvd collections that came out for all those bad ass videos directed by Chris Cunningham, Michel Gondry and some other great directors?  Have you ever gotten stoned and watched Bjork's Hyperballad? It is a true thing of beauty.  Anyway,  I was just saying music videos can be super cool.  Check this one out by the band JUSTICE.

My Mom Is An Airplane > animated video short

What a beautifully animated video done by Yulya Aronova, from Moscow.  A cute story about a boy's mom being an airplane and flying over city skies and mountain lands.  I really enjoyed watching this.

NEW > Mickey Mouse Shorts!!!

Ok, I'll admit I LOVE MICKEY MOUSE!  I grew up watching The Disney Channel.  The Mickey Mouse Club.  It was always on our TV, that or Nickelodeon, really.  But as a kid we took family vacations to Orlando, Florida which meant Disney World!  There is nothing better in the entire world then walking around the Magic Kingdom as a youngin and meeting all your favorite characters.  I once got Mickeys autograph, even though it was probably just some college dude in a costume.  Anyways, the Disney Channel is creating some really awesomely animated new Mickey shorts which will be released on their website and channel.  They plan on making 19 short animated films with all your favorite old school buddies having adventures in exotic locations.  This first one released is set in Paris,  titled ""Croissant De Triomphe".   Enjoy!

NASA's photograph > Moons Gravity feilds.

In continuation with the outer space thread I have lately, NASA released this photograph showing the different spots on the lunar surface where the gravity fields vary.  The red zones that appear are are stronger and blue spots are weaker gravity zones.  Pretty trippy picture I think.  

RadioLab > Dark Side of the Earth

Because of that last post about space, I decided to dig up this old episode of Radiolab and pair it along with the OVERVIEW Earth video.  Listen to it and enjoy.  Its really good.
